Escherspace

A method of traveling vast interstellar distances in extremely short periods of time. The exact nature of the technology is a closely-guarded secret, requiring the use of rare exotic matter. The process requires a tremendous amount of energy and must take place well outside the range of major gravitational fields. While the distances able to be traversed using Escherspace are technically limitless, apparently the energy requirements can change based on various factors. For the Westward, the process takes about three minutes, though only Doctor Phobos really understands why.
