It's no Jesus all of a sudden appearing in your comic, but that Mormon comic has to get you all sorts of hate mail. I thought it was hilarious. Nice to see a real person visiting Purgatory. Too bad it's right before the world ends.
Now they have other names. It is a good idea to prepare. There are several bad things in store like the Yellowstone caldera.

But yeah, having long-term food storage is a pretty good idea. It's a great thing to have around after floods/hurricanes/etc., as well as economic downtimes.
I'm glad you didn't take offense, Taijutsu. :) I was a teenager in the late nineties, and the fundamentalist Christian communities I grew up in were all hot and bothered about Y2K. I remember going to church meetings to listen to "experts" lecture about backup generators, the Antichrist, microchips and black helicopters.
Arizona developed in my mind during that period, and she almost certainly percolated from some of those experiences, among other things.
