Uh-oh, typo. Shouldn't that be "air we can breathe?" I know. It bugs me when I find typos in my work, especially if I realize they've been there for awhile. No worries.
I get the feeling that Rex and Miss Wells are about to encounter some trouble. Also, is there a reason that Carter's skin is gray?
Thanks for pointing that out. I do this strip so quickly I'm surprised there aren't more typos. :)
Carter's skin is a particular shade that I only use for him, and it is quite cadaverous. I think my mentality with that was that he's spent a lot of his life in space, so very little sunlight. But I guess it just feels right to me for the character.
Re: Carter's skin colour...Based on my First Aid and CPR training, I'd suggest that he's either in shock or about to have a heart attack. Sounds like exciting ingredients for tomorrow's strip!
I suspected that John Carter's Mars was covered in many types of fungus that looked like rocks otherwise all those life forms couldn't exist on a desert planet. But that is another story and another universe.
Tell me did Carter die at one time? Did the Martian revive him? Change him in any way?
