Change of Plans

Did anyone see this coming? Is anyone completely confused? Don't worry, all will be revealed in time. We're at the halfway point of Westward, and there's a lot of story left to tell!

Monday, we begin a brief interlude between acts, as it were, in which many surprising and helpful details will be learned about the backgrounds and motivations of the characters—beginning with a certain Nazi spy I'm sure you've all been wondering about. In the meantime, I hope to see plenty of healthy speculation regarding what we've discovered about these late developments. Excelsior! -e

I wonder how many of our heroes met the RicoRay to make room for the ascent of Edjamin.

And what an upside down hair greying pattern! Must be a gravity thing.

Whatchabet the navigator is Santana's son... half Martian. Who goes on to inherit the title from Edjamin, and eventually returns to Earth to form a secret scientific colony undersea in the mid 1900's.
Multiple colonies and another appearance of a 'First Scientist' in Westward.
It's hard to tell which parts of the story are part of the alpha timeline or offshoots and how much that even really matters.
Dang! That's about the worst toupee I've ever seen, curled up and sleeping on the cranuim of dear old Spratt-for-brains. Looks like in the future, everyone discovered the worst of "steampunk" and adopted it for all of their fashions. Yuck! I yearn for the good old days of "mid-century modern"...
...oh - and, by the way, great job with Episode Four and a real thought-provoking conclusion. I'm really looking forward to what's ahead! Keep up the great storytelling and artwork :-)
"Full ghost." So old Edjamin, AKA First Scientist invented a cloaking device?

So the First Scientist is going to personally oversee the matter.

Oh heck, that didn't work.

Do you guys remember how Pa and Jeremiah always referred to god as "Lord" - http://westwardcomic.com/comic.php?itemid=1200

I guess that answers the question of why the bible (we assume) is forbidden. Cause everyone is worshipping Spratt!

I knew he had an ego, but this is ridiculous!

http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/StealthInSpace - I see more "nuclear toast" scenarios in our future
The minute I saw a guy that looked like Elliot, I should have known he was up to no good. Man!

How many colonies are we implying, here?
I'd say this was the most enjoyable chapter so far. Dare I hope that future chapters will top this one? I think I do.
